Alene Taber Speaks at 2014 Planning and Conservation League Foundation Environmental Symposium
IRVINE, CA - Alene Taber, Shareholder and member of the Firm's Land Use Development and Environmental Services Groups was a speaker at the 2014 Planning and Conservation League Foundation Environmetal Symposium - Water of Life: Towards and Equitable and Sustainable Water Future for California.
Ms. Taber spoke on a panel entitled, "Water, CEQA and the Public Trust Doctrine: Empty Promises, or Enforceable?" The event took place on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at the UC Davis School of Law.
Alene Taber assists clients with issues involving air quality, CEQA, NEPA, water, and land development. Ms. Taber represents clients before administrative agencies and litigates in state and federal courts. Prior to joining JDTP, Ms. Taber was a Senior Manager for the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) responsible for managing permitting and enforcement, developing rules, and overseeing the CEQA and socioeconomic analysis of SCAQMD rules. Ms. Taber was a contributing author to SCAQMD’s “CEQA Air Quality Handbook” referenced in several court decisions. Ms. Taber was also a city planner with the Southern California Association of Governments and City of Carson.
