IRVINE, CA – Michele Staples of the Firm’s Land Use Development Services Group will Co-Chair a comprehensive, two-day conference focused on "Finding New Water", to be held October 5-6, 2015, at the DoubleTree Anaheim Resort (and via webcast). Panelists include legal and technical experts who are actively engaged in the policy and practice of developing "new water" from ocean water, degraded groundwater, wastewater, and stormwater to support economic growth and development, achieve environmental compliance and sustainability, protect public health, and reduce reliance on costly imported water. There will also be an opportunity to participate in a guided tour of Orange County Water District's world-renowned Groundwater Replenishment System, which produces 100 million gallons per day of pure water from once-discarded wastewater.
